Yes. The compliance checker covers all 50 US states plus the District of Columbia. It tracks state-level assault weapons bans, magazine capacity limits, NFA item restrictions (suppressors, SBRs, machine guns), permit requirements (FOID, FPIC, License to Carry, etc.), and transfer requirements.

What does Compliant with Modifications mean?

Compliant with Modifications means the firearm is legal in the destination state only after specific changes are made — for example, swapping a 30-round magazine for a 10-round magazine, removing a flash hider, installing a fixed magazine, or adding a state-specific featureless configuration. The verdict lists the exact modifications required.

Can I use the compliance checker for NFA items like suppressors and SBRs?

Yes. The compliance checker identifies NFA items (suppressors, short-barreled rifles and shotguns, machine guns, AOWs, destructive devices) and flags state-level prohibitions. Some states ban suppressor or SBR ownership outright even when the federal NFA process is complete; the checker calls these out specifically.
